About this hackathon
Michigan State University's official student hackathon, back for its 12th edition: 24 hours of building on Feb 6–7, 2027 in the MSU STEM Building, East Lansing, with mentors, workshops and on-site lodging. Free for accepted students of any major and experience level; no team or idea needed. Early applications are open now and close Nov 29, 2026 (11:59 p.m. ET), with decisions by Jan 8 and priority for travel support; regular applications open Nov 30 and are reviewed on a rolling basis.
