About this hackathon
A two-day, in-person hackathon in King's Cross, London, Nov 21–22, 2026, run by the Society for Technological Advancement (SoTA) with Callosum, Inherent Labs, ARIA and Fractile. Use parallel computing to push GPUs on open questions in biology, chemistry, physics, materials science, astronomy and Earth sciences, such as flood-uncertainty simulation, faint-asteroid detection and molecular pose search, or bring your own challenge. GPU environments, AI credits and mentors are provided. Prizes: £5,000 plus a demo slot at ARIA's AI for Science Summit (Nov 26, Manchester), £2,500 and £1,000. Hacker tickets are free with approval; small travel grants are available for people outside London.
