About this hackathon
A two-day, in-person hackathon in Oxford from OxAI and Oxford Edge, held on two Fridays: Nov 13 (10:00–17:00) and Nov 20, 2026 (09:00–16:30). Build instruments that help people make sense of the world, of the AI systems describing it, and of what those systems are doing to it. Tracks: Read the World (with Gapminder's indicators and misconception benchmark), Read the Machine (trace an agent's tool calls, attribute claims and flag guesses on open models, with Intelligent Internet), Read the Impact (AI's effects on jobs, energy, health and information, using Our World in Data, Epoch AI and the AI Incident Database), or an open lane. Every team gets Intelligent Internet compute credits. Teams of 2–6, formed on the day; prizes not announced.
