About this hackathon

The second season of NPI's AI For Good in a Responsible Way hackathon, where nonprofit staff, social workers, teachers, caregivers and people with lived experience bring a real problem and build the fix themselves with AI. Five tracks: elder care, disability inclusion, community animal welfare, community environment, and children and youth. Problem submissions close at the end of October 2026, followed by online bootcamps in November and a 48-hour on-site build in December; technical volunteers will be recruited later. Awards: one ¥10,000, two ¥5,000 and five ¥3,000, with follow-up pilots and possible impact investment.
