About this hackathon
A two-week online hackathon from Mozilla, running Oct 28 – Nov 11, 2026 alongside MozFest in Barcelona. Finish a side project — new or existing — on a new branch using Otari, Mozilla.ai's open-source AI gateway for building apps and agents with any model, including open-weight ones. Submit a public repo, the first commit where Otari came in, a 3–5 minute demo video and feedback on Otari by Nov 11. 1st: $1,000 + 3 hours with Mozilla.ai engineers; 2nd: $200 + 2 hours; 3rd: 1 hour.
