About this hackathon
A free, in-person OpenAI Codex community hackathon in Santiago, Chile on Mon, Nov 23, 2026 (09:00–19:00), hosted by local Codex Ambassador Alonso Astroza at Universidad del Desarrollo's engineering school (Aula Magna, Las Condes). Build a playable game and iterate on gameplay, art and polish with Codex rather than shipping one prompt. Teams of up to four; register individually with the same team name. Judges from the games industry score gameplay, art, execution, originality and how you worked with Codex; games must be published in a public open-source repo. Prizes: $1,000 / $500 / $250 in API credits plus a year of ChatGPT Pro for each winning team member; every attendee gets $100 in Codex credits and $50 in API credits. Registration requires approval; held in Spanish.
