About this hackathon

A free four-week online hackathon from Symfony to stress-test Symfony AI and the official PHP MCP SDK before 1.0: build LLM apps, agents, RAG, or MCP servers and clients in PHP. Solo or in pairs; submit a public repository anyone can clone and run plus a 90-second video by Nov 22, 2026, 18:00 CET (Nov 23, 01:00 Beijing time). Judges include MCP co-creator David Soria Parra and Den Delimarsky (Anthropic), Nico Martin (Hugging Face) and Brent Roose (PHP Foundation / JetBrains). Prizes are hardware and tickets, plus $20 of Hugging Face inference credits for every participant.
